First Year Student Guide

Your Librarian

A Librarian is assigned to each course you sign up for. Librarians will show you how to navigate the library resources and can help you:

  • Locate the information you need, identify the best resources, and formulate a search strategy.
  • Connect to resources beyond Georgetown.
  • Inform you about new library resources and services.
  • Direct you to resources where you can learn about formatting citations and bibliographies.
  • Offer advice when you don't know where to start or what to do next!
